The new dean of the College of Industrial Engineers of the Valencian Community (COIICV), Francisco Javier Turégano, appointed under the Governing Board elections held recently at the headquarters of Valencia, urges entrepreneurs, professionals and college institutions to take "more leadership" to reverse the crisis.

As reported in a statement COIICV, Turégano replaced in office Zunzarren Javier Rodriguez, who becomes vice dean.For Turégano, "it is time to recover and strengthen the industry. Among the challenges facing the new dean and his administration stands out of the crisis, the "underinvestment" in R & D, the "low productivity" of Valencian companies, "lack of competitiveness "Valencia economic sectors, the adaptation of the Bologna University Plan and the implementation of the Services Directive and the Omnibus Act, which affect the competence of certified professions and professional bodies, forcing them to reinventing it.

Turégano Francisco Javier Gomez, 55, is a superior industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. COIICV Collegiate since 1981 and member of the Governing Board since 2001, five years is the Director for Logistics, Packaging and Transportation of the Technological Institute for Furniture, Wood, Packing and Allied Workers (AIDIMA), a position he has combined in the last three years with the president of the Valencian Institute of Technology Foundation (INVATE), non-profit institution established by the COIICV in 1996 to promote innovation.
