The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Principality has to declare the founding of the Technology Center of Forestry and Wood of Pumarabule of interest.

The foundation to govern the center will foster research and development and innovation in different sectors across the value chain of wood from the mountain to the industry.
It is envisaged that a future employer is included as CIFOR-INIA and also be invited to join the project at the University of Oviedo and the Regional Service of Food Research and Development (SERIDA).
It will also provide a forum for networking and referring to the various professional associations involved in the value chain of wood. And will also support the internationalization of the R + D + i for companies asturianas sector.
Other tasks will be to establish channels of information exchange and cooperation with public, private and related institutions around the world and collaborate in the organization and coordination of scientific and technical potential of Asturias.
The building that will house the technology center was built of wood in his days under the former miners who received funds from the City Siero.Also, Furniture Bricobuk associations and wood EFSA Asmadera and Saviastur participate as partners and collaborators of the center.
